Jay Wolfe

Born New Orleans, LA 1945, began playing snare drum in middle school, played in a R&R band same time. Practiced hard & recruited by "The Greatest Band in The South" Mac Rebennack ( Mac later became Dr. John) & The Skyliners in '62. Recorded with Mac & others many times at world famous Cosimo's studio in NOLA and during that time, at mac's urging, developed the original & 1st Funk beats.
